Yan Chongnian Elaborates the Cultural Secrets of Beijing's Landmarks and Donates Books to Cambridge University Library

  On March 11, 2025, “London Book Fair 2025” was hosted at Olympia London. On this important platform for international cultural exchange, China Democracy and Legal System Publishing House hosted a dialogue themed "The Eventful History of Beijing’s Landmarks - The Forbidden City and Tian’anmen Square".

  During the dialogue, Yan Chongnian, a renowned historian and researcher from BASS, vividly recounted the historical events behind the Forbidden City with profound academic knowledge and unique perspectives, decoding the cultural genes of Beijing as an ancient capital and elaborating the spiritual core of traditional Chinese culture to international readers.

  At the event, Yan Chongnian donated three books to Cambridge University Library: “The City of Intellectuals-Beijing Through the Centuries” (English Version), “Yan Chongnian's Historical Essays" and “Collected Works of Yan Chongnian”. These books provide valuable research materials for scholars and culture enthusiasts in the UK and around the world, further promoting the dissemination and exchange of Chinese culture in the international academic community.
