Our academy has been invited to attend the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference and has released the Beijing Digital Economy Development Report (2025–2026)

　　From July 2 to 5, the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference was held in Beijing. Under the theme “Building a Digital-Friendly City: Inclusive Intelligence, Seamless Connectivity,” this year’s conference focused on fields such as artificial intelligence, digital governance, and data elements. It featured a “1+1+N” event framework—comprising an opening ceremony, one forum on the “Global Dialogue on Digital-Friendly Cities,” and N thematic forums, along with a year-long series of activities—to build a one-stop exchange platform covering policy, technology, industry, and capital.

　　　　On July 4, Secretary Xie Hui led a delegation to attend the Achievements Release Session of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference.

　　On July 2, President He Yalan led a delegation to attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference.

　　On the morning of July 2, the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference opened in Beijing. Attendees included leaders from relevant central and Beijing Municipal Government, representatives of relevant international organizations and cities, foreign government officials and diplomats stationed in China, members of the Conference’s International Advisory Committee, representatives of enterprises, universities, institutions, and associations, as well as experts and scholars from both China and abroad. Research Fellow He Yalan, President of our academy, was invited to lead a delegation to attend the opening ceremony.

　　On the afternoon of July 4, the Achievements Release Session of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference was held at the China National Convention Center. Professor Xie Hui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of our academy, led a delegation to attend the event. During the session, the Beijing Digital Economy Development Report (2025–2026) , researched and prepared by our academy, was successfully released. As a think tank report that continuously and systematically studies and reflects on the theoretical and practical hotspot issues of Beijing’s annual digital economy development, the Beijing Digital Economy Development Report has now been officially released at the Global Digital Economy Conference for five consecutive years.

　　Lu Ya, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of our academy, presented the core findings of the Beijing Digital Economy Development Report (2025–2026) on behalf of the research team and systematically analyzed new trends and characteristics in Beijing’s digital economy development from ten dimensions. The release content was widely reported by major media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency and Beijing Daily.

　　The Achievements Release Session of the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference also provided a systematic summary of the conference’s achievements in international cooperation and its overall outcomes and presented related awards. 　　The Beijing Digital Economy Development Report is one of our academy’s flagship think tank publications. It is produced by a research team jointly formed by experts from our academy and institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center,‌ China Unicom Research Institute, Beijing Technology and Business University, and Visteon Corporation, who continuously track and systematically study the development of Beijing’s digital economy. Going forward, the research team will continue to focus on issues related to Beijing’s digital economy and the development of Beijing as a global benchmark city for the digital economy. It will further deepen both theoretical research and applied policy research, fully leveraging the role of the capital’s new high-end think tank in social science research and policy advisory work, and contribute wisdom and strength to advancing Beijing’s development as a global benchmark city for the digital economy and supporting the high-quality development of its digital economy.
