Xie Hui Attends the Megacity Governance Academic Symposium and Chairs the Keynote Speech Session

　　On Dec 7, 2025, “the Megacity Governance Academic Symposium & the 6th Beijing City Situation Research Symposium (2025)" was convened at the Beijing Municipal Party Committee School (Beijing Administration Institute, BAI). This event was hosted by BAI, co-organized by Beijing Academy of Social Sciences (BASS), Beijing University of Technology, Capital University of Economics and Business, and Beijing Institute of Economic and Social Development. Professor Xie Hui, secretary of the leading Party members’ group at BASS led a delegation to attend the symposium and chaired the keynote speech session. Themed “Building a Modern People’s City”, the symposium brought together over 30 experts and leaders from universities and research institutions such as the Central Party School (National Academy of Governance), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University and other universities and research institutes, as well as relevant committees and bureaus of Beijing Municipality to engage in in-depth discussions.

　　The meeting witnessed the establishment ceremony of the “Beijing Research Center for Party Building in Emerging Sectors”, and relevant research findings were released. In the keynote speech session, five experts and leaders deeply discussed cutting-edge topics such as ecological intelligent city, digital and intelligent governance, high-quality development of the capital city, transformation of planning and design, and coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
